About the Brand:
Habari is not just a fashion label — it’s a cultural platform.
From day one, my focus has been to build a brand that doesn’t simply release products but creates artifacts of identity that live in wardrobes, on timelines, and in the streets.
Collections as Cultural Moments: Launched and managed 10+ digital-first collections that went beyond clothing, functioning as markers of lifestyle, aspiration, and community.
Scaling Reach & Revenue: Grew Habari’s audience to 100,000+ organic followers and unlocked two new revenue streams (B2C & B2B), proving that streetwear from Africa can compete globally.
Systems Behind the Brand: Negotiated supplier and manufacturing partnerships across multiple regions, and aligned retail, production, sales, and marketing into a seamless ecosystem that powers both online and offline distribution.
Culture-Driven Campaigns: Designed influencer programs, retail activations, and cultural collaborations that deepened Habari’s relevance and expanded its cross-market footprint.
Designing Process as Product: Introduced workflows and dashboards across teams that cut concept-to-launch by 30% and boosted repeat purchases by 18%, making the behind-the-scenes machinery part of the brand’s design language.
For me, Habari is not about apparel — it’s about building a living, breathing community through design, culture, and commerce. Every piece is an expression. Every drop is a story. Every campaign is a step toward defining what contemporary African streetwear looks like on the world stage.
